National Association of State Alcohol/Drug Abuse Directors provides information on public policy, research, and various resources.  You will also find detailed information about their specialty networks that are comprised of the states’ offices for alcohol and other drug services.

National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence provides facts about different drugs, how to find treatment and support, and information that is catered to parents, families, youth, and individuals in recovery.

The National Development and Research Institutes, Inc. (NDRI) is a non-profit that works to advance scientific knowledge in substance abuse, mental health, and other related concerns in order to contribute to the prevention and treatment of these social problems.  This site provides information on available trainings, current research projects, and related publications.

National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) is part of the National Institutes of Health and provides information on current events, research related to alcohol prevention and treatment, and free publications and resources.

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is the federal agency created to address prevention, treatment, and recovery in behavioral health.  This site provides multiple resources, free publications, information on current research and data, and current news.

The World Health Organization (WHO) site on alcohol provides reports and other publications you may download for free.  It also provides additional resources, fact sheets, and information on current projects.
