The Institute for Research, Education, and Training in Addictions (IRETA) is a non-profit organization that works with multiple partners to advance the field of addiction and recovery.  This site provides current news and information on research and policy as well as educational documents that can be downloaded for free.

National Association of State Alcohol/Drug Abuse Directors provides information on public policy, research, and various resources.  You will also find detailed information about their specialty networks that are comprised of the states’ offices for alcohol and other drug services.

National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence provides facts about different drugs, how to find treatment and support, and information that is catered to parents, families, youth, and individuals in recovery.
